Mid/Senior Node.js Developer

We’re expanding our team and looking for a Node.js Developer to join an exciting project in the educational gaming domain. You’ll work on a modern, cloud-based platform that helps children learn financial responsibility through interactive gameplay. Collaborating with a skilled team, you’ll take ownership of core back-end features such as user onboarding, deposits, and KYC integrations. You’ll also contribute to building and improving AWS-hosted services, ensuring the product remains secure, scalable, and resilient.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and maintaining back-end services on AWS using Node.js, NestJS and TypeScript
• Designing and implementing event-driven architectures with SQS and EventBridge
• Integrating KYC, payment, and other third-party financial APIs
• Managing data storage and access with DynamoDB
• Ensuring services are secure, scalable, and reliable
• Taking ownership of end-to-end feature delivery
• Troubleshooting and optimizing performance across AWS services

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional back-end development experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript
• Solid experience with AWS services, particularly SQS, EventBridge, and DynamoDB
• Experience integrating KYC, payment, or financial APIs
• Strong understanding of event-driven and microservice architecture
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality code with minimal rework
• Fluent in English (both written and spoken)

Nice to Have:

• Experience in FinTech or EdTech projects
• Knowledge of security best practices in financial systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
