SAP Basis Administrator – Build

We are looking for a skilled SAP Basis Administrator – Build.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP System Build & Provisioning

• Build, install, and configure new SAP ABAP, JAVA, HANA, and S/4HANA systems in SAP ECS environments.
• Execute full lifecycle system provisioning including software installation, post-install tuning, parameter configuration, and initial optimization.
• Set up additional SAP components such as BOBJ, BODS, Cloud Connector, Content Server, OpenText, etc.
• Perform system copies, client strategies, and environment preparation for development, QA, and production tiers.

Technical Integration & Configuration

• Configure Web Dispatcher, routing rules, SSL, SSO, certificate exchange/renewal, and trust relationships.
• Implement and manage CTS/CTS+ and ensure proper transport movement across landscapes.
• Configure and validate SAP connectivity with external interfaces and cloud services.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all system builds follow ECS architectural standards, SAP best practices, and security/hardening requirements.
• Conduct system validation checks (work processes, dumps, logs, traces, storage, locks).
• Prepare and deliver build documentation and transition packages for handover to ECS Run/Operations teams.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Participate in customer onboarding, technical design workshops, and build planning sessions.
• Provide L3-level technical expertise during build-related issue resolution.
• Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• 6–10 years of SAP BASIS experience with strong emphasis on system installations and new landscape builds.
• Hands-on experience with ABAP + JAVA stack installations (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and S/4HANA environments.
• Proficiency in:
  • SSL/SSO configuration and certificate management
  • SAP Web Dispatcher
  • Transport management (CTS/CTS+)
  • Background job scheduling and SAP printing subsystem
• Experience with upgrades, support packs, kernel updates, and client copy methodologies.
