We are looking for a Backfill Network Support. The candidate will be responsible for providing operational support for data center network infrastructure within a distributed international environment. This role involves resolving incidents, performing changes, monitoring network performance, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. The successful candidate should bring strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
Key responsibilities:
Provide Level 2 operational support for Data Center Network environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing, and WAN connectivity.
Perform planned changes and configurations according to internal standards and ITIL processes.
Monitor network performance and health using tools such as CheckMK, Zabbix, and NMi.
Collaborate with global teams to support distributed infrastructures and ensure service stability.
Maintain documentation in Confluence and internal tools (it.admin).
Participate in shift-based or on-call activities (when required).
Escalate complex issues to Level 3 or vendor support as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in Data Center Network Operations.
Good understanding of WAN Technologies (IPSec VPN, MPLS).
Experience with Firewalling (Fortinet and Checkpoint).
Familiarity with Load Balancing (F5).
Basic skills in Monitoring & Troubleshooting (CheckMK, Zabbix, NMi).
Understanding of ITIL-based processes (Incident & Change Management).
Fluent English (spoken and written); German is a plus.
Minimum Level 2 Engineer, ideally with shift/on-call experience.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in distributed teams.
Familiarity with Confluence and it.admin.
