Our Client
Our client is a dynamic and fast-growing UK-based IT consultancy, specialising in delivering cutting-edge technology solutions and driving digital transformation for leading European companies across industries such as Banking, Retail, Insurance, Healthcare, Energy, and Consumer Goods. As part of their newly established operations in Bulgaria, they are currently seeking a Data Engineer to join a client’s distributed technical team supporting a gaming analytics solution.
Data Engineer
Responsibilities:
Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and batch/streaming workflows.
Build connectors to external partners and integrate data from APIs and internal systems.
Develop custom functions to process and transform data for analytics and reporting.
Integrate and manage data within Snowflake and other downstream tools.
Own and optimize orchestration workflows using Airflow and Kafka-based event streams.
Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability across platforms and pipelines.
Collaborate across teams to improve existing solutions and support data-driven decisions.
Requirements:
University degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business Informatics.
3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer working on data infrastructure.
Strong programming skills in Python, with hands-on experience in SQL and Snowflake.
Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) and data streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka).
Solid understanding of data modeling, governance, and performance tuning in data warehouse environments.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities across multiple stakeholders and systems.
Comfortable working in a cloud-native environment (e.g., AWS), with tools like Terraform and Docker.
