OUR CLIENT 

Our client is a boutique IT company with offices in Germany & Bulgaria (40+ employees), helping European companies in the energy and finance sector with integrating, securing and maintaining their data, reduce operational costs and position themselves better in their market. For their growing team we are looking for an experienced professional for the role of a “Senior Business Analyst”. The person will be responsible for projects related to the integration of energy products & systems, migrations, digitalization, product development within big Tier 1 – Tier 3 global companies.

Business Analyst (Energy Trading) – fully remote

Responsibilities:

• Understand clients’ business needs and functional requirements.
• Support architectural design decisions regarding the implementation of clients requirements.
• Contribute to the creation of business, functional, and technical specification documents, as well as customer workflow documentation.
• Assist the developers in understanding the customers’ requirements.
• Configure/extend the system to best fulfill the technical specifications.
• Evaluate and analyze requirements, validate them with technical teams and developers, propose implementation solutions, and align on timelines.
• Perform tests on functionalities and troubleshoot bugs and issues.
• Work closely with the internal development team on the development and implementation of new customer requirements as part of their on-going support contracts as well as on developing our own software products.

Requirements:

• University degree in Mathematics, Finance or similar.
• Previous experience and solid understanding of the energy sector and the energy trading processes.
• Previous experience with ETRM systems such as Allegro, Endur, Brady or other energy trading software.
• Experience in writing functional and business specifications.
• Very good knowledge of SQL and Excel.
• Customer-oriented personality.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Excellent English skills, German would be a strong plus.
