The client is a leading financial group and Forbes2000 member. The company provides services in multiple domains, including Anti-Money Laundering, Accounts controlling, Business Solutions Competence, Credits, Financing, and other business domains. Since 2021 the group has been going through enhanced digital transformation, demanding software development, QA, AI, Cyber Security and other IT solutions.

Responsibilities

As a software engineer you work closely together with the direct colleagues in the team. You will be responsible for the maintenance and changes on systems performing credit risk calculations and reporting of impairments. A variety of systems is managed in the team. We are searching for a software engineer who can

1. translate the requirements together with the functional analyst into a technical implementation

2. create and document technical designs

3. guide developers, review coding and program yourself

4. test the changed/new applications together with the application managers

5. apply the rules about the release process

6. support the maintenance of the applications, e.g. investigate and solve production incidents

Of course you do not have to do this alone: you will work together with other specialized and experienced colleagues.

Main qualifications

You have experience in a mainframe environment and have knowledge of COBOL, DB2, IDz workbench, GIT, EGL, Changeman, copybooks etc.

You are eager to learn and absorb new information quickly. You have the energy and talent to dive deep into new material, and to build up expertise in it.

You have the interest and analytical skills to quickly master the IT processes and the underlying business processes.

You are solution/result oriented

You strive for high quality of the work you deliver

Good communication skills
