Senior DevOps Engineer with GCP

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with Google Cloud Platform expertise to join one of our teams – DevOps Hub.

The Hub provides hands-on training, expert mentorship, and deep technical expertise in modern DevOps practices, helping IT professionals build scalable, reliable systems.

YOUR DAILY CHALLENGES

• Design and develop automation frameworks including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines, for the entire engineering organisation;
• Build large-scale infrastructure solutions using Terraform on Google Cloud Platform;
• Identify workflow bottlenecks and inefficiencies, then collaborate with teams to implement improvements;
• Manage incident responses and ensure proper follow-up, root cause analysis, and mitigation strategies;
• Lead the migration of legacy technologies to cloud-native solutions on GCP;
• Implement and maintain virtualization and containerization solutions for production workloads;
• Ensure reliability and high availability of data storage systems and critical infrastructure;
• Contribute to security initiatives including vulnerability management, WAF, SIEM, and SAST/DAST implementation;
• Work with serverless and event-driven architectures using GCP services (Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Workflows, Eventarc).

OUR EXPECTATIONS

• 6+ years of professional DevOps, Infrastructure, or Site Reliability Engineering experience;
• Proven expertise managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure for both on-premises and cloud environments;
• Extensive experience with large-scale Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development using Terraform;
• Strong understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.);
• Proficiency with CI/CD automation tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Argo Workflows, or GitLab Pipelines;
• Experience ensuring reliability and availability of data storage systems in production environments;
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail;
• Proactive mindset with passion for continuous improvement and automation;
• Strong collaboration and communication skills;
• Excellent English proficiency (written and verbal);
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

CONSIDERED A PLUS

• Hands-on experience with GCP security tools: Security Command Center, DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and vulnerability management;
• Experience with serverless and event-driven architectures on GCP (Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Workflows, Eventarc);
• Knowledge of data warehouse architectures such as BigQuery and Bigtable;
• Background in site reliability engineering (SRE) practices.
