Businesss UNIT Analytics

The Business Unit Profitability and Performance Management (BU PaPM) is responsible for our analytics business with SAP PaPM at the core and currently extending its scope to SAP SAC and DWC. With our solutions and services, we help our clients across the globe to create more transparency about their business, provide better basis for decision making and increase efficiency & profitability. The solutions we offer to our clients are often industry specific as Cost-to-Serve for Retail or Planning & Simulation for Insurance, or focus on a certain functional area like Transfer Pricing, Profitability or Sustainability.

Role Introduction 

The SAP Datasphere Consultant is integral to our global analytics team, actively engaging with clients and project teams to deliver end-to-end SAP Datasphere solutions. Responsibilities include the development and presentation of demonstrations, creation of training and enablement materials, providing implementation support, and collaborating closely with presales and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate demonstrates a consultative approach and in-depth technical knowledge of SAP Datasphere capabilities and msg’s complementary analytics products.

Your responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP Datasphere models for analytical and data integration scenarios
• Create and optimize data integration workflows between SAP Datasphere and various source systems
• Develop analytics scenarios leveraging Datasphere features for effective data management
• Lead/Support engagements and workstreams to deliver high quality services on time and budget
• Support presales demos, including RFP’s and client demonstrations
• Work productively and collaboratively with clients and a team of consultants
• Communicate effectively with client and msg global management
• Achieve key business outcomes while adhering to project goals and deadlines
• Look for opportunities and engage in up-selling or cross-selling to existing customer

What we’re looking for

• Deep technical and functional proficiency in SAP Datasphere including data modeling, virtual access layers, and data integration strategies
• Proficiency in SQL scripting, Python or other relevant programming languages for data manipulation and analysis
• Familiarity with SAP’s broader data and analytics landscape, including SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP BW/4HANA, SAP HANA Cloud, and integration tools such as SAP Data Intelligence
• Strong capability in data governance and security best practices within cloud environments
• Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting Datasphere solutions
• Excellent understanding of business processes relevant to analytics, finance, and operations
• Strong analytical skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English

Education and Experience

• University degree(s) in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Business Management or Computer Science
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Enterprise Data Warehousing, Analytics, or Data Management
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience specifically implementing SAP Datasphere or comparable cloud data platforms like SAP Data Warehouse Cloud or SAP Data Intelligence
