Senior Automation QA Engineer

You will be part of:

The Device Communication Services team is responsible for the technical transformation of the company’s software architecture, providing an easy way for new integrations and features to be released for our partners. We currently support over 15,000 devices. Each new device we release helps Milestone become part of every video surveillance installation worldwide, improving safety and health, and enabling smarter use of data and resources.

Today, we are a team of 4 people, and we are currently looking for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join our team in Sofia, Bulgaria (hybrid mode of working).

What you will do on a typical day at Milestone:

• Design, implement and maintain comprehensive API test suites for microservices architectures according to product requirements.
• Develop automated integrations and end-to-end test scenarios across multiple services.
• Create, execute, and automatе test plans and scenarios for both new and existing products.
• Analyzе and maintain test results, documenting issues, and ensuring resolution.
• Create and maintain test strategy and respective documentation.
• Lead and own all QA aspects of the team’s work. Ensure all testing projects are completed on time.
• Adhere to QA best practices and company standards.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers to improve their skills and make them more effective.
• Identify and execute initiatives that improve the QA process and efficiency.
• Take ownership of your learning journey to grow as a professional.

How can you match:

You have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. We expect you to actively develop your knowledge and skills within the software industry and always strive to be on top of the new industry trends.

• 5+ years of professional experience in the software testing field.
• Complete understanding of the QA process and software development methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of networking and streaming protocols, and containerization (TCP, UDP, HTTP, RTSP, Docker).
• Strong skills in designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Functional, Regression, and Integration testing.
• Familiarity with Version Control Systems such as Git.
• Basic understanding of Linux server environments.
• Strong knowledge and experience in testing Microservices and APIs
• Experience with testing frameworks like Venom/PyTest will be considered as an advantage.
