About the role

We are looking for a Senior Golang Developer to join a fast-growing digital health project focused on expanding platform capabilities and delivering impactful solutions in the healthcare domain. The client’s mission is to reverse diabetes and obesity in one billion people, and in this role, you will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to design, build, and optimize scalable, high-performing, and reliable backend services, contributing to a meaningful product while leveraging your expertise in backend development.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the architecture, design and development phase of software production
• Build server-side APIs – REST (JSON/XML)
• Deliver high-quality software with extensive Unit Testing
• Be responsible for developing and testing critical components of the system
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Collaborate closely with the team in designing software and hardware integration
• Participate successfully in an established Agile/SCRUM development process

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with Go
• Expert knowledge of implementing best coding practices
• Experience with concurrency patterns and parallelism
• Application profiling and performance tuning
• Microservices integration
• Popular Go Web Frameworks
• APIs with RESTful architecture
• Server management (Nginx, Apache)
• Deployment tools (CI/CD)
• Cloud services (AWS / Google Cloud / Azure)
• Relational and NoSQL databases (MS SQL / Oracle / PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB / DynamoDB)
• Source control (Git / SVN) with various flows

A significant advantage would be:

• Hands-on experience with Python
• In-memory data stores (Redis, Memcached)
• Socket communication
• RPC / gRPC
• Protocol Buffers
• Monitoring services for performance observability and analysis
• JavaScript (React, ReactNative), CSS (SCSS, LESS), HTML
• UI, UX, and accessibility
• OS virtualization (Docker)
