Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Telecommunication Engineer with strong expertise in optical transport technologies such as DWDM, OTN, and Optical Cross Connect systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and supporting high capacity telecom solutions that connect DC and Could, on-net buildings, service providers, and telecom operators across the globe.

Areas of Responsibility

• Design, implement, and test telecom solutions using DWDM and OTN technologies
• Plan optical network capacity and optimize performance across the optical transport infrastructure
• Lead resolution of complex network issues and support service delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for network upgrades and customer deployments
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal engineering guidelines
• Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, IT, or Electronics
• 3+ years of experience in optical networking and telecom infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of SDH, DWDM, OTN, Ethernet, and fiber optic transmission principles
• Hands-on experience with optical network equipment from major vendors (e.g., Infinera, )
• Familiarity with network management systems and performance monitoring tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong customer focus and ability to adapt to fast-moving technical environments

Will be an advantage

• Understanding of IP/MPLS integration with optical transport layers
• Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python) for network operations
• Certifications in optical networking technologies (e.g., Infinera XTC, G30, G40)

Personal skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, team player with a proactive mindset
• Ability to take initiative, work autonomously, and manage priorities effectively
• Familiarity with project-based work (planning, follow-up, communication)
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
