Senior Linux System Administrator – Tietoevry Create (m/f/d)

As a Senior Linux System Administrator at Tietoevry, you will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing the IT infrastructure for our customer BICS. You will be responsible for taking technical leadership and engineering ownership of various components, including enterprise backup solutions, virtualization platforms like VMware, and hyperconverged infrastructure. Your expertise will be essential in designing new solutions that meet both technical and business requirements while considering total cost of ownership (TCO).

Responsibilities:

• Take technical leadership and engineering ownership of multiple IT infrastructure components:
  • Enterprise Backup Solutions
  • Virtualization platforms (VMware)
  • Linux systems
  • Hyperconverged infrastructure
  • SAN Fabric & SAN Storage
  • Automation tools
• Design new infrastructure solutions, considering:
  • Technical and business requirements
  • Total cost of ownership (TCO)
  • Develop and implement improvements or extensions to existing infrastructure based on:
  • Capacity growth
  • Performance metrics
  • Future evolution forecasts
• Manage the full lifecycle of systems:
  • Evaluate supplier roadmaps
  • Initiate software upgrades or system replacements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in system administration, design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure solutions
• Expertise in:
  • VMware virtualization platforms
  • Hyperconverged infrastructure (HPE Synergy & HPE Primera Storage)
  • Red Hat Linux administration
  • Performance tuning
  • Automation using Ansible

An advantage would be:

• Advanced Red Hat administration, including Satellite
• Experience with Kubernetes and Rancher
• Familiarity with IaaS platforms (AWS & Azure)
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Experience with Keycloak
