Senior Java Developer

Manpower Bulgaria is looking for a Senior Java Developer on behalf of one of our trusted and long-term partners – an established company with strong expertise in developing high-performing, scalable, and enterprise-grade solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient Java-based microservices
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and deliver robust solutions
• Integrate with high-throughput messaging systems such as Apache Kafka
• Build backend components using frameworks like Spring Boot and tools such as Maven
• Ensure high code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration
• Participate in architectural and design discussions to help shape future development
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support deployment, automation, and monitoring

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java (8 or higher)
• Proven experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience using Apache Kafka as a messaging solution
• Proficiency with Spring Boot, Maven, and Git
• Understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Solid communication and teamwork capabilities
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar

Nice to Have

• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies
• Monitoring and performance tuning experience
