Job Overview:

We’re seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect to take ownership of platform evolution and optimization efforts with a strong focus on OpenShift infrastructure. In this role, you’ll drive improvements across scalability, reliability, performance, and security in a dynamic containerized environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Optimization: Lead continuous improvement initiatives across OpenShift environments – automating, scaling, and performance-tuning the platform.
• Architecture Evolution: Design and implement architectural changes that support business growth and technical scalability.
• Operational Excellence: Enhance deployment pipelines, monitoring, and platform maintenance to ensure reliability and performance.
• Automation & CI/CD: Drive Infrastructure-as-Code, automated testing, and delivery pipelines using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Tekton, ArgoCD, and GitHub Enterprise.
• Capacity & Scaling: Conduct evaluations and exercises to ensure efficient scaling and capacity planning.
• Security Enhancements: Strengthen container security, RBAC, and compliance across the OpenShift ecosystem.
• Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, developers, and infrastructure teams to remove bottlenecks and optimize performance.
• Innovation & Best Practices: Champion new trends, technologies, and methods to ensure platform excellence.
• Platform Upgrades: Plan and execute seamless OpenShift platform upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Coach junior team members and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Consulting & Advising: Act as a technical consultant to development teams by translating business needs into scalable solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough technical documentation and architecture overviews.
• R&D and Exploration: Stay ahead of advancements in OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in IT, including 5+ years working with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and containerization.
• Deep practical expertise in deploying and managing OpenShift in production.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture and microservices.
• Proficiency in IaC and CI/CD tools: Terraform, Ansible, Tekton, ArgoCD, GitHub Enterprise, Helm.
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally Azure (AWS also a plus).
• In-depth knowledge of container security, RBAC, and secret management.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Relevant OpenShift certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist) preferred.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Service on Azure (ARO).
• Familiarity with GitHub Enterprise toolsets.
• Scripting experience with Python or Bash.
• Background with container security tools like Red Hat ACS, Azure Defender, Jfrog XRay.
