Database Administrator

Manpower Bulgaria is looking for a Database Administrator for one of its trusted partners in the insurance software industry.

This is a great opportunity to become part of a stable and long-term in-house project team that supports the digital transformation of an international group operating across Europe.

Your Responsibilities:

• Configure and administer databases to ensure optimal performance and availability
• Monitor and fine-tune DBMS systems to maintain efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
• Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability and alignment with business needs
• Develop SQL and PL/SQL scripts to support internal operations
• Manage database security, including access and permissions
• Maintain high availability systems for uninterrupted operations
• Perform Linux/Unix system administration tasks within database environments
• Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for Oracle-related services and components

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in database migration, including cross-platform projects
• Experience with database performance testing and tuning
• Familiarity with automation tools for database management
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix system administration in DB-centric environments
• Understanding of performance optimization and disaster recovery best practices
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Shell

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM, and Active Data Guard
