Do you love turning numbers into fun, fair and thrilling game experiences? We are looking for an experienced Game Mathematician — Head of Mathematics to lead our math team and shape the core mechanics of our slot games. In this role you’ll design robust mathematical systems, validate outcomes through large-scale simulation, and ensure our games meet certification and regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions.
What You’ll Do
– Define mathematical concepts and gameplay structures in collaboration with Product (RTP, hit frequency, volatility, win multipliers, lines/ways, pay methods)
– Evaluate feasibility of proposed mechanics and bonuses (e.g., timing/trigger conditions like a Vault Bonus every X spins)
– Set and approve key mathematical parameters and balance games to meet commercial and compliance goals
– Provide implementation guidance to backend developers to ensure faithful replication of the math model
– Run continuous simulations and Monte Carlo tests during development to validate accuracy and performance
– Iterate on models based on product balancing requests and analytics feedback
– Prepare par sheets, probability breakdowns and detailed math documentation to support internal validation and external certification
– Confirm final simulation results and include validated math packages in release materials
– Support compliance and certification teams with jurisdictional documentation and evidence
What We’re Looking For
– Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or a related quantitative field
– Proven experience as a Game Mathematician, Slot Math Designer, or similar role within the gaming industry
– Strong command of probability, combinatorics, stochastic processes and statistical analysis applied to gaming mechanics
– Proficiency with simulation and statistical tools (Python, R, MATLAB, or equivalent) and ability to work with large datasets
– Experience preparing and validating par sheets for certification across multiple jurisdictions
– Hands-on experience running Monte Carlo simulations or equivalent validation techniques
– Excellent problem-solving skills and creative approach to designing engaging math-driven features
– Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
– High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy, fairness and regulatory compliance
– Excellent knowledge of English
