Role: Frontend Developer

Function: Engineering

Reporting: Director of Engineering

Location: Sofia, Bulgaria ( Hybrid)

What you’ll do:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing front-end team, fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement
• Inspire and guide team members to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions using React.js and modern front-end technologies
• Drive the development of reusable components and front-end libraries that enable efficiency and maintainability across the codebase
• Collaborate closely with design and product teams to translate concepts into intuitive and responsive user interfaces
• Optimize application performance across a wide range of devices and browsers, ensuring a seamless user experience
• Ensure technical excellence through regular code reviews, best practice implementation, and architectural guidance
• Champion the stability, security, and scalability of front-end systems through proactive troubleshooting and thoughtful planning
• Cultivate an environment of learning and growth by sharing knowledge, offering constructive feedback, and empowering team members to take initiative
• Up to date with AI trends and able to guide the team in adopting AI tools for improved development productivity

Skills and Qualifications: 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with React.js and modern front-end development
• 2+ years leading a Frontend team of 3 or more engineers
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Experience with React Native or native mobile development is a big plus
• In-depth knowledge of React.js core principles and modern state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API)
• Familiarity with newer ECMAScript specifications and isomorphic React (a plus)
• Experienced in debugging complex UI issues using Chrome DevTools, and optimizing performance and runtime behavior
• Solid understanding of browser performance optimization techniques and common cross-browser issues
• Proficient in secure front-end development practices, including prevention of XSS, CSRF, and other common vulnerabilities
• Experienced with RESTful APIs and modern authorization mechanisms (e.g., JWT)
• Skilled in front-end build pipelines and tools such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and collaborative Git workflows
• Able to evaluate and guide improvements in CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts in English
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Experience using AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor) to enhance productivity and automation
• Highly collaborative, responsive, and proactive in fast-paced environments
• A mindset for continuous improvement, with a knack for benchmarking and optimization
