Senior Automation QA Engineer

We employ more than 500 people in Sofia and deliver the full spectrum of IT services to our clients, including ServiceNow solutions, SAP solutions, Software Engineering, Application & Platform Operations, Cloud and Infrastructure.

Your responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions by collaborating within a dynamic and diverse team. You will contribute to driving quality through all phases of the software development lifecycle and assist in improving testing strategies.

Test Design & Execution:

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for module, integration, and system-level testing.
• Create and manage test data sets to ensure accurate and reliable testing outcomes.
• Execute functional, regression, and E2E tests in various environments, ensuring coverage and efficiency.

Defect Management:

• Effectively track and manage defects, providing clear and concise documentation for developers.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure quick resolution of issues.

Collaboration & Communication:

• Participate in requirement analysis sessions, providing valuable input on testability and potential risks.
• Regularly communicate test progress, risks, and blockers to stakeholders through reports and meetings.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest industry standards and tools to enhance testing processes.
• Contribute to the team’s knowledge-sharing culture by sharing best practices and providing feedback.

Agile Contribution:

• Be an active member of an Agile scrum team, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure alignment of QA efforts with development and business goals.

Automation related:

• Develop components that enhance the robustness, reusability, and maintainability of test scripts
• Design frameworks to increase and accelerate productivity
• Provide support for frameworks, assisting development and QA teams with tool-related issues
• Implement automation test scripts and integrate them with the test management tool
• Set up automated test environments for both UI and non-UI testing
• Decide what to automate, including the rationale, methodology, and timing, under supervision
• Implement reliable automation scripts to ensure consistent feedback
• Monitor and analyze Continuous Integration test runs
• Optimize existing automated test scripts to reduce execution time
• Review test cases and automate them when feasible
• Integrate automated tests into the Continuous Integration system

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in software testing, with demonstrated expertise across the test lifecycle
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps (advantageous)
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, including ISTQB® principles and best practices
• Good knowledge in end-to-end (E2E) testing and API testing
• Experience working with databases, querying data for test validation
• Experience in Functional Test automation (WebdriverIO / Selenium/ PlayWright)
• Experience in Performance testing and automation
• Experience with Data Testing, including validation of structured and unstructured data (optional)
• Experience in AI Testing, particularly validating integrations with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines (optional)
• Good programming skills in C# or an equivalent programming language
• ISTQB® Certified Tester – Foundation Level required
• Strong problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail
• Fluent English
• Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Open to feedback and continuous improvement
• A proactive and curious attitude, eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
