IT-Impulse is expanding to Bulgaria, with an office in Sofia, where we are building a local team of IT specialists. We represent a Software Engineering division of the international company JobImpulse GmbH with more than 9.000 employees in 51 locations in 12 countries and we act as an intermediary between the IT software development department and highly qualified IT specialists on the job market.
IT-Impulse with its offices in Seville (Spain) and Kosice (Slovakia) is the point of contact when it comes to IT Outsourcing and Nearshoring.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our Agile teams. You will ensure the quality, accessibility, and reliability of web applications by designing and executing manual tests, reporting defects, and collaborating closely with developers and product owners. This role focuses on maintaining high standards of testing for both new and existing functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and execute manual test cases for applications built with .NET (C#) Web API, Angular (TypeScript), and SQL Server
Deliver high quality testing that is repeatable, auditable and can be reused to ensure that ongoing regression can be performed by any team member
Produce required test evidence in accordance with project requirements
Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing
Verify compliance with accessibility and development standards
Collaborate with developers and product owners
Log, track, and retest defects with clear documentation
Participate in Agile meetings such as daily stands and contribute to improvement
Maintain continual program of self-training on the full product suite
Generate clear and concise customer facing documentation for each release of the software
Make suggestions and implement solutions to improve the quality control process. For example, through automation tests.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
Proven experience in manual testing of web applications
Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Experience in Agile environments
Good communication and documentation skills
Desirable:
Exposure to test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Specflow)
Experience testing REST APIs (Postman)
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools
Basic understanding of SQL to allow test outcomes to be properly identified where required
Understanding of API fundamentals for use with integration testing
ISTQB Foundation certification
Experience with asset management software
Key Relationships:
Reports to: Senior Tester / QA Manager
Works closely with: Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts
Collaborates with: QA staff on releases and regression testing
