IT-Impulse is expanding to Bulgaria, with an office in Sofia, where we are building a local team of IT specialists. We represent a Software Engineering division of the international company JobImpulse GmbH with more than 9.000 employees in 51 locations in 12 countries and we act as an intermediary between the IT software development department and highly qualified IT specialists on the job market.
IT-Impulse with its offices in Seville (Spain) and Kosice (Slovakia) is the point of contact when it comes to IT Outsourcing and Nearshoring.
We are building a modern, customer-facing data platform used across multiple digital products. We’re hiring a Lead Data Engineer (Product) to be the founding data hire and to build the core data products, dashboards, and AI-ready datasets that will power the next generation of our solutions.
This is a product-oriented, customer-facing role — not a traditional BI position.
What You’ll Do:
Build and architect a unified Microsoft Fabric data platform
Create ingestion pipelines and scalable data models across property, asset, compliance, contractor, and financial domains
Deliver persona-based dashboards for property managers, owners, leaseholders, and on-site teams
Build automated reporting (“board-ready at the click of a button”)
Enable conversational analytics (“chat with my buildings”) using AI-ready datasets
Collaborate with AI Innovation & Data Architecture on LLM features, predictive analytics, and long-term standards
Act as a data product architect — setting foundations, patterns, and ways of working
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:
Essential:
Strong background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or hybrid roles
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric / Azure data technologies
Excellent SQL + good Python
Experience delivering customer-facing dashboards or reporting products
Knowledge of dimensional modelling, semantic layers, governance, data quality, and data contracts
Experience preparing datasets for AI/LLM-based natural language querying
Desirable:
Experience in property, asset, maintenance, or compliance domains
Exposure to predictive modelling or ML-driven product features
Familiarity with embedded analytics, multi-tenant permissions, and RLS
Experience in early-stage or scaling data teams
What Success Looks Like (First 12 Months):
A live, scalable Fabric-based data platform powering customer-facing experiences
Persona-based dashboards rolled out across multiple products
Automated reporting engine widely adopted
Conversational analytics enabled through structured, AI-ready datasets
