    An AWS Cloud Migration Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing the transition of data, applications, and infrastructure from on-premise environments to the AWS cloud. This position entails designing and deploying cloud-based solutions, formulating migration strategies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency within the cloud environment.

    What you will do

    • Evaluate the existing infrastructure to assess the feasibility of cloud migration.
    • Perform comprehensive discovery assessments of existing applications, documenting dependencies to ensure successful migrations.
    • Create comprehensive migration plans, following existing templates, that encompass system design, architecture, and security considerations.
    • Execute the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure to the AWS cloud environment.
    • Monitor and document progress throughout the migration process.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that business requirements are met during and after migration.
    • Provide post-migration support and resolve any issues that may arise.
    • Identify and propose opportunities for optimization and cost savings within the cloud environment.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to cloud migration and technological advancements.
    • Work closely with other IT teams, including developers and operations, to ensure smooth integration and functionality in the cloud.
    • Maintain thorough documentation regarding the migration processes and procedures.

    What you need for this

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated experience in cloud migration projects, particularly with AWS.
    • Strong comprehension of cloud computing technologies, data migration methodologies, and security standards.
    • Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
    • Experience with AWS Cloud Migration Hub
    • Experience with database technologies including Oracle, SQL Server and PostgreSQL
    • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
    • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
