Areas of Responsibility
Repair & Operation:
Provide second-line support for all Voice & Cloud Communications products and platforms.
Monitor network availability and quality, performing both proactive and reactive maintenance.
Suggest improvements to proactive tasks and processes.
Collaborate with L1/customer care teams to resolve customer-reported issues.
Work with vendors and suppliers to report issues and follow up on resolutions.
Participate in guard duty service and planned tasks qualifications.
Provisioning:
Ensure service implementation for all BICS Voice & Cloud Communications products and platforms, meeting business, technical, operational, and regulatory requirements.
Support SIP/SIP-T (VoIP) setup configuration, testing, and interoperability testing with telco operators.
Focus on maintaining KPI and SLA measurements.
Validate, test, and deliver services to customers.
Qualifications
Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, IT, ICT, or Telecommunications
5+ years of experience in telecom, specializing in voice switching (Mobile operators or international carriers)
Strong knowledge of Telecom technologies and ITU/ETSI standards (SS7/ISUP, VoIP/SIP, RTP, MGCP)
Experience with NGN platforms (Sonus or Dialogic preferred) and SBCs (Ribbon, Metaswitch)
Familiarity with transmission equipment and signalling protocol monitoring tools
Basic experience with Unix/Linux
Expertise in network switching/routing for Unified Communications and VoIP
Experience with SIP-trunking and protocols like SIP, ENUM, INAP, HTTP
Knowledge of secure environments (SSL/TLS, secure APIs)
Proficient in Wireshark and Splunk for root cause analysis
Fluent in English with strong communication skills
Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively in a team
