DevOps Trainee

Job Description

Position

As a DevOps Trainee at ICT Strypes, you will support the development and operations teams by assisting in the implementation and maintenance of applications that are critical to our clients. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment while gaining hands-on experience with modern DevOps practices.

You will work closely with senior engineers to help monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to building and improving automation processes. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong communication skills are essential.

Essential Skills

Required Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure services (App Services, AKS, Key Vault, PostgreSQL, Storage Accounts);
• Familiarity with Linux (RHEL) and/or Windows Server administration;
• Awareness of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, firewalls);
• Exposure to containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm;
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipeline development;
• Basic knowledge of web technologies: Nginx, HAProxy, SSL;
• Awareness of observability practices: monitoring, logging, tracing.

Technical Knowledge:

• Version control: Git;
• CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, Jenkins;
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform;
• Configuration Management: Ansible.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
• Scripting experience with Shell/Bash or Python;
• Strong troubleshooting mindset;
• High coachability and eagerness to learn.
