JOB DESCRIPTION

The Position

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our AI team and drive the development of intelligent solutions that leverage machine learning, deep learning, and advanced analytics. You will play a key role in designing, building, and deploying AI models that solve complex business problems, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Model Development & Deployment:

• Build, validate, and optimize machine learning and statistical models suited for real-world data.
• Work with time-series, tabular, or other structured/unstructured data depending on project needs.
• Implement scalable data pipelines and model deployment strategies.

Data Exploration & Analysis:

• Collect, clean, and transform datasets of varying complexity.
• Perform exploratory analysis to uncover trends, patterns, dependencies, and anomalies.
• Apply appropriate statistical and analytical techniques to derive meaningful insights.

AI Research & Innovation:

• Evaluate and experiment with new algorithms, tools, and modelling approaches.
• Prototype new concepts to evaluate feasibility and potential impact.

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Partner with engineers, product managers, and domain experts to define AI project requirements.
• Translate analytical findings into actionable insights for colleagues with varying technical backgrounds.

Stakeholder Communication & Presentation:

• Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Present complex technical findings in clear, concise, and compelling ways tailored to different audiences.
• Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate insights and model performance.

Requirements:

Expertise:

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science or applied machine learning;
• Strong proficiency in Python and scientific libraries such as: pandas, NumPy; scikit-learn; TensorFlow or PyTorch; matplotlib, seaborn, plotly, or similar libraries for visualization;
• Hands-on experience with Databricks for big data processing, collaborative analytics, and ML model lifecycle management.

Would be a plus:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps tools;
• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

Soft Skills:

• Fluency in English (spoken and written);
• Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset;
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with stakeholders and executives;
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences;
• Ability to work independently and lead projects end-to-end.
