Job Description

The GL team at HedgeServ works closely and in direct contact with clients to meet nav calculation, general ledger, and tax requirements. The Business Analyst for GL team will interface with the HedgeServ NAV and TAX teams to ensure those requirements are captured, appropriately documented, and completed accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the status of ongoing work, projects, and other activities; prepare ongoing activity reports which reflect project status, schedules and risks, team activities, change control and issue identification, tracking and resolution.
• Advise management of issues; convey corrective plan of action and follow up regularly to determine status/disposition.
• Gather product level functional requirements for GL applications and create specifications for the developers.
• Work with development to define scenarios and build automated tests to validate functionality. Work through tests with development to ensure team understanding.
• Participate in design discussions with team. Help team to understand both functional and non-functional requirements. Non-functional requirements include operations, performance, user experience.
• Other responsibilities include User Acceptance Testing, Backlog Management, Prioritization and Overall Team Flow Management.
• Further responsibilities include the creation of release notes and user guides, feature rollout, feedback collection and documentation, and training.

Requirements: 

• The ideal candidate will have worked as a Business Analyst / Product Manager previously (1-3 years of experience), preferably in the financial services industry.
• Experience in Fund Administration and Fund Accounting will be considered as an advantage.
• Knowledge of financial instruments like FX products, Options, futures, IR swap, CDS, Convertibles is a plus, but not required.
• Intermediate SQL skills are a plus, but not required.
