Senior Automation Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities:

• You will be building backend solutions most of which are based on object-oriented TypeScript and/or JavaScript. Those are to be used in large-scale data centers (think millions of virtual machines).
• For Linux OS-level configuration, you will be using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell. With infrastructure as code principles you will be engineering CI/CD pipelines, automated workflows, and services such as load balancer as a service, database as a service, … anything as a service.
• We would consider people with higher level of experience from various development backgrounds: Java, .NET, Python, NodeJS.
• You will act as a consultant to the customer by understanding and fulfilling their requirements, while communicating clearly (in English) with architects, developers, DevOps, quality engineers and project managers. Your solutions should be following best practices, be well tested and documented.
• You would advise customers on technical topics on pre-sales calls. You could take part in technical interviews and mentoring less-senior developers.

Requirements:

• Full-stack experience in at least one OOP programming language, design patterns and SOLID principes.
• Experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, but an advantage would also be Java, Python, Go, C#.
• Experience in enterprise systems integrations and web services (REST, SOAP).
• Experience with Linux OS – bash, Windows – Powershell, cmd.
• Moderate experience in Networking, e.g. Firewalls, Load balancers.
• Basic Experience with Message Queues, Service Brokers, SQL.

In addition, an advantage would be:

• Experience / knowledge in external storages – SAN, NAS, LUNs.
• Understanding of DevOps (CI/CD).
• Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and virtualization.
• Experience with VMware, AWS, Azure, GCP and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge in any of the following frameworks: Angular, React, Node.js.
• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
• Experience with SQL DBs like Oracle, MS SQL.
• Experience with Configuration Management, e.g. Ansible, Terraform.
• Experience with ITSM systems like ServiceNow.
