The Network Provisioning Engineer is responsible for the design, physical assignment of services and updating internal inventory records related to CFA for all services provided globally. These services include DIA, IP Transit, MPLS VPLS, IP/SDWAN/Security services that are on net. They are also responsible for working with technicians on site, and/or GTT Clients to turn-up new services, perform all testing and documentation of the results of the turn-up.
Job Scope/Supervision:
The team works closely with Service Delivery, Project Management, Engineering and Operations teams to ensure the efficient, cost-effective delivery of high-quality IP services to external and internal customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, Develop and modify network solutions providing exceptional client experience while ensuring the integrity of service delivery.
Internal interaction with members of the sales, sales engineering, and project management teams
Create, modify, and maintain engineering process, workflows, and documentation
Support customers through service acceptance by troubleshooting service issues during turn up (e.g., throughput, routing and other customer-related support issues) providing timely resolution
Ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties with effective use of resources and timely delivery.
Making contributions to organizational knowledge base
Ability to represent GTT at various levels from a technical perspective.
Managing & maintaining client service resource allocations
Collaborate with peers and colleagues within Engineering, Service Delivery and Operations
Required Experience/Qualifications:
Experience supporting a client’s complete network deployment lifecycle
Demonstrate the ability to work with customer engineering teams to determine network requirements are understood, reflected accurately, and implemented
Develop design solutions (physical and logical) that follow engineering best practices
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills in English.
5+ years of experience in a similar role – Network Design/ Architecture or Implementation
Network Certifications (i.e.CCNP/CCIE, JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE) or similar level with focus on present-day technologies (e.g. MPLS, TCP/IP, VPN, BGP, QoS, IP Telephony, etc.)
Juniper equipment experience (PTX, MX, QFX, ACX and EX series)
Has a working knowledge other network services (DNS, DHCP, etc.)
Experience interfacing with peering providers and facility management
Knowledge of principles of IT Service Management best practices.
