Keys responsibilities:
– Backend Architecture: Design, implement, and deploy high-performance microservices on Cloud Run (for containers) and Cloud Functions (for event-driven workloads).
– API Management & Security: Implement and manage API proxies, policies, and security layers using Apigee to govern all external and internal API traffic.
– Event-Driven Design: Utilize Pub/Sub for asynchronous communication, building scalable, decoupled systems and workflows.
– Quality Assurance : Participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and ensure application performance and reliability.
– DevOps & CI/CD: Implement containerization (Docker) and establish CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment across GCP services.
Keys competencies expected:
– 3+ years of experience as a Python or JavaScript software developer.
– Expert Python programming, developing RESTful APIs with FastAPI or Javascript frameworks (Express, Node.js, Next.js etc.)
– Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery).
– Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP) and cloud-based services.
– Knowledge of best practices in software development, including version control (Git, BitBucket) and unit testing.
– Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software architecture.
– Solid problem-solving skills, analytical thinking and the ability to debug complex systems.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
– Experience with microservices architecture is a big plus
– Experience with HTML, CSS. Linux, Docker and Bash.
– Previous experience in the Insurance, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industries
