    At Globawise, we connect expert technologists with industry-defining projects that shape the digital landscape. We’re currently looking for a Tech Lead – Ruby (Fullstack) to join a high-impact initiative in the media sector, powering dynamic content platforms and modern digital storytelling.

    This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive both technology and team performance – building scalable systems that reach millions while guiding a team of engineers in delivering world-class digital media experiences.

    What You’ll Do

    Lead Engineering Efforts:
    Drive the architecture, design, and delivery of fullstack solutions using Ruby on Rails and modern JavaScript frameworks (React or Vue).

    Technical Decision-Making:
    Own technical standards, make architectural decisions, and ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.

    Hands-On Development:
    Lead by example – contributing clean, high-performance code while encouraging best practices in testing and code quality.

    Frontend Oversight:
    Collaborate with UI/UX teams to deliver intuitive, performant frontends with technologies like React, Vue.js, or similar frameworks.

    Cloud Infrastructure:
    Design and deploy cloud-native systems using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, and CloudFront.

    CI/CD & DevOps:
    Define and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, promoting a high-velocity, low-risk release culture using tools like GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.

    Team Leadership & Mentorship:
    Guide engineers through code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning. Foster professional growth and an inclusive, collaborative culture.

    Domain-Focused Solutions:
    Build systems for real-time content delivery, digital asset pipelines, content management, and personalized user experiences in the media space.

    Skills and Qualifications

    Must-Have Experience:

    • 7+ years of experience in software development, including Ruby on Rails as a primary backend technology.
    • Strong experience with React, Vue.js, or another modern JavaScript framework.
    • Experience architecting and scaling applications in a cloud-first (AWS) environment.
    • Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and test-driven development workflows.
    • Proven ability to lead technical teams in agile, collaborative environments.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Preferred:

    • Background in media, content delivery networks, or streaming technologies.
    • Experience with video processing, image optimization, or dynamic publishing platforms.
    • Familiarity with GraphQL, headless CMS solutions, or serverless patterns.
