Senior Systems and Network Administrator

We’re searching for a Systems & Network Administrator who thrives in complex infrastructure environments, enjoys solving deep technical problems, and wants to grow within a seasoned engineering team. If you’re eager to expand your skill set and have a real impact on high-scale systems, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Do

• Keep Systems Running Smoothly – Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues across critical information systems.
• Manage Networks End-to-End – Oversee networking components – switches, routers, IP/VLAN configurations, routing, and BGP.
• Support Your Team – Assist colleagues with day-to-day IT-related questions and challenges.
• Deploy & Maintain Systems – Install operating systems and application software across FreeBSD/Linux environments.
• Manage Server Infrastructure – Operate and maintain servers, storage, and virtualisation platforms.
• Oversee IT Equipment – Track, allocate, and maintain all company hardware.
• Champion Security Best Practices – Ensure strict adherence to internal information security standards.
• Collaborate with Leadership – Report progress, challenges, and improvements directly to the CTO.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Operating Systems: FreeBSD, Linux
• Networking: IP, VLANs, Routing, BGP
• Monitoring Tools: Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana
• Core Services
• Web: nginx, Apache
• Mail: Postfix
• DNS: Bind/alternatives
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Caches: Memcache, Redis
• Node.js-based services
• Programming & Scripting: Shell scripting, Perl, Python, PHP or similar
• Additional Tools/Technologies: CEPH, VM/KVM, Bacula, Firewalls, ZFS
• Soft Skills: Strong decision-making, Excellent problem solving, Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Location: We’re seeking candidates based in Sofia, with the ability to visit the office daily.
