Job Profile
The Release Engineer is responsible for overseeing the PDK release lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, and coordination. This role involves working closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline the release pipeline, automate processes, and resolve deployment issues.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and Oversee Releases: Plan, schedule, and coordinate PDK Releases.
· Executing the PDK Release process: planning, packaging, permissions, support of internal and external clients.
· Develop CI/CD Pipelines: Create and maintain automated Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline deployment processes.
· Collaborate with Teams: Work with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient releases.
· Automate Processes: Implement automation for build, test, and deployment processes.
· Monitor and Troubleshoot: Track release processes and resolve any issues that arise during deployment.
· Documentation: Generate and maintain documentation related to PDK Releases.
· Post-Release Reviews: Participate in post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Computer Science, Information Technology or Related Technical Discipline.
· Plus is to have experience in software development or DevOps environments.
· Soft Skills:
o Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills, mainly on English.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
o Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
· Technical Skills:
o Expertise in LINUX scripting
o Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Perforce) is a plus.
o PDK and semiconductor knowledge/experience is a plus.
o Understanding of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus.
o Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
o Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is a plus.
o Understanding of intelligent business applications (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics365 , Siemens Teamcenter, Agile PLM ) is a plus.
