Lead/ DevOps Engineer will be responsible for working in collaboration with software engineering to deploy and operate GeoWealth’s development environment and systems. It also entails automating and streamlining the firm’s operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring and operations as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues in our development, testing and production environments.Will Lead and mentor the team of DevOps/ Infrastructure department- 2 DevOps Engineers. System Administrator and System Monitoring and Support Engineer.
REQUIRED SKILLS :
Strong expertise with Oracle Cloud services (OCI) or similar platforms like AWS or GCP.
Ability to manage cloud-based infrastructure and services effectively.
Hands-on experience with cloud networking, storage, compute, and security features.
Strong background in Linux/Unix system administration.
Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Consul, or equivalent.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices.
Knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Bash, Python, Groovy.
Experience writing and maintaining scripts for automation and configuration.
Broad understanding and practical experience with open-source tools and cloud services.
Experience working with Oracle databases.
Knowledge of database administration, optimization, and backup/recovery techniques.
Strong networking knowledge, including firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and load balancers.
Hands-on experience with web and application servers like Apache, Tomcat, and JVM environments.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging systems like ELK Stack (Filebeat, Auditbeat, Logstash, Kibana).
Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry for observability.
Experience with storage technologies such as NFS, SANs, RAID, and Logical Volume Management (LVM).
Experience using and administering version control systems like GitLab and Git.
Familiarity with the Atlassian Suite (Confluence, JIRA, etc.) is advantageous.
Experience with Slack API for integration and automation.
Proficient in Kubernetes for container orchestration.
Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization.
Familiarity with QEMU and KVM for virtualization.
Strong experience with Terraform for IaC.
Proficient in Jenkins for Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
Experience creating and managing dashboards in Kibana and Grafana.
Understanding observability principles and tools like OpenTelemetry for tracing and metrics.
Manage and mentor DevOps/ Infrasrtucture departament team, ensuring technical growth and consistent delivery.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to take ownership of challenges.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, make decisions based upon priorities, schedules, and an understanding of business decisions
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to join a 24×7 on-call roster when required.
