Devops Engineer

Essential Skills (preferably to have knowledge in many of them): 

o Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience (typically 3+ years) as a DevOps

Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on CI/CD.

o Azure DevOps Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Azure DevOps services,

particularly Azure Pipelines (YAML preferred), Azure Repos, and Azure Artifacts.

o CI/CD Implementation: Proven ability to design, build, and manage complex CI/CD

pipelines for various application architectures.

o Scripting Skills: Strong proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Azure CLI,

Bash.

o .NET Ecosystem: Experience building and deploying .NET / ASP.NET applications.

Understanding of the .NET build process (MSBuild/dotnet CLI).

o Azure PaaS: Experience deploying to and managing Azure PaaS services like App

Services, Function Apps, Azure SQL Database.

o Database Deployment: Experience with automating database schema deployments

and migrations (e.g., DACPACs, EF Migrations, Redgate SQL Change Automation).

o Source Control: Proficient with Git, including branching and merging strategies.

o Security: Understanding of security best practices within CI/CD pipelines, including

secret management (Azure Key Vault).

o Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

o Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work

effectively in a team environment.

Desired Skills (not obligatory):

o Experience deploying mobile applications (iOS/Android) and familiarity with tools like

App Center or Intune for distribution.

o Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics deployment automation.

o Experience with integrating automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, NUnit, xUnit,

MSTest) into pipelines.

o Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, even if not directly responsible

(to facilitate collaboration with the Infrastructure pod). Familiarity with Terraform or ARM

Templates is a plus.

o Azure Certifications (e.g., AZ-400: Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps

Solutions).

o Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
