Adobe Engineer Manager / Dev

Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to development, enhancement, and maintenance of the AEM platform and

supporting integrations.

• Operate within a well-defined engineering backlog in a scaled Agile delivery environment.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to increase team capacity, throughput, and code

quality.

• Contribute burst capacity for initiatives like site accessibility compliance and performance

improvements.

• Advocate for and enforce engineering best practices, maintainability, and operational excellence.

• Key areas of work include:

 Schema rebuild and model optimization

 Third-party tool integrations (including dealer locator)

 Algolia search integration

 ETL processing and data flow engineering

 SEO enhancements

 Web performance optimization

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x or newer) — backend

(Java/Sling/OSGi) and frontend (HTL, JavaScript, CSS).

• Demonstrated success leading or managing AEM engineering teams in an Agile or SAFe

environment.

• Deep understanding of AEM architecture, content modeling, workflows, and enterprise

integrations.

• Strong experience with API integrations, ETL processes, and enterprise-grade SEO

implementation.

• Proven ability to improve team velocity, technical quality, and delivery consistency.

• Excellent communication skills, experienced in collaborating across global/distributed teams.

Preferred Experience:

• Algolia or similar search/indexing integrations.

• Experience building dealer locator or geolocation-driven digital experiences.

• Adobe Experience Cloud tools (Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, etc.).

• Performance tuning for high-traffic content platforms.

• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and implementation best practices.
