Overview of the role:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Flutter Studios we are looking for a Studio Director for the Cayetano Studio

Flutter Studios is a newly established business unit in the group with a vision to bring value for all group brands that operate an online casino via the development and distribution of in-house and exclusive gaming content.

Flutter Studios consists of colleagues across various functions including three game development studios which collectively boast several decades of experience in real money online casino game design and development.

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Studio Director for our Cayetano Team to lead the creative and operational efforts within our gaming studio. This is a leadership role that will shape the direction of our studio’s game development processes, product strategy, and team culture. As Studio Director, you will oversee all studio operations, ensuring a seamless flow from concept to launch, and you will play a pivotal role in creating a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing environment. You will drive both the creative and operational strategy for the studio, working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, market-leading casino games.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

What you’ll do:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the studio’s overall strategy: Develop and implement the studio’s game development strategy, aligning with the broader business objectives and growth targets. Ensure Cayetano roadmap drives product innovation, competitive positioning, and market success. A key part of the global leadership team of Flutter Studios.
• Team leadership and development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of c60 product managers, designers, developers, and other key talent. Create an environment that fosters collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.
• Operational oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring resources are optimized, timelines are met, and quality standards are maintained. Streamline workflows and processes to ensure efficiency while maintaining creativity and innovation.
• External partnerships and vendor management: Manage relationships with external development partners and vendors. Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and ensure the timely delivery of outsourced game development projects that align with the studio’s goals and quality standards.
• Creative and product direction: Lead the creative direction of Cayetano game portfolio, ensuring that games meet high standards of quality, user experience, and market relevance. Approve all game concepts, designs, and final outputs to ensure consistency with the studio’s vision and goals.
• Market insights and strategy: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to inform the development of new game concepts and enhancements. Use data and market insights to guide strategic decisions.
• Work closely with senior collaborators in Flutter Studios and wider organization. Align on strategy, priorities, and objectives.
• Budget and financial management: Supervise Cayetano budget, including internal resource allocation and external vendor contracts. Ensure the studio functions within budget while enhancing return on investment.
• Quality and compliance: Ensure that all games are developed and launched in compliance with industry regulations and meet the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven leadership experience in the gaming industry, ideally with a focus on online casino games or similar sectors.
• Strong track record of managing and leading teams, with a focus on talent development and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
• Demonstrated experience in driving strategic game development initiatives from concept to launch, with a strong understanding of the operational and creative aspects of game production.
• Capability to handle intricate projects, prioritize tasks, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels and with external partners.
• Deep understanding of the online gaming landscape, including market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive dynamics.
• Experience managing budgets, contracts, and external relationships to ensure financial targets are met.
• Creative attitude towards gaming and innovation, paired with a strong intuition for business.
