    About the role

    We are looking for a Junior Algorithm Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the design and development of algorithms and simulations, apply probabilistic models, and contribute to improving accuracy and performance in a collaborative environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the design and implementation of algorithms for sports and game simulations.
    • Support the development of probabilistic models (e.g., Markov chains, Monte Carlo methods) under guidance from senior team members.
    • Contribute to optimizing simulation logic and ensuring accuracy of outputs.
    • Write clean and efficient code, primarily in .NET and C#, with opportunities to learn functional programming (e.g., F#).
    • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to integrate and test algorithms.
    • Participate in code reviews and continuously build technical skills in performance-oriented programming.
    • Contribute to improving existing models and exploring innovative approaches with support from senior colleagues.
    • Create test cases to work and develop test driven methodology

    Requirements

    • Basic knowledge of probability, statistics, and mathematical modeling.
    • Familiarity with algorithm design and a willingness to learn high-performance simulation techniques.
    • Some understanding of Markov chains, Monte Carlo methods, or other probabilistic concepts is desirable.
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language (C# preferred); exposure to .NET or F# is a plus.
    • Strong problem-solving ability, analytical mindset, and eagerness to learn.
    • Interest in sports modeling, simulations, or gaming applications is an advantage.
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
