    Opportunity

    We’re looking for a talented Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our Cloud Services & Infrastructure organization. In this role, you’ll be part of designing, building, and operating the infrastructure and pipelines that enable our Java-based insurance platform to run reliably and securely. Enabling continuous delivery and high availability across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid deployments.

    This is a hands-on engineering role requiring deep automation, strong build systems knowledge, and a solid understanding of platform operations at scale.

    Your responsibilities:ivy

    Automation & CI/CD:

    • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD
    • Build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
    • Automate packaging and deployment of Java-based applications using build tools like Maven, Ant, Gradle, or Ivy

    Platform Operations & Scalability:

    • Operate and scale applications in Kubernetes-based environments (on-prem or managed like EKS, AKS, or OpenShift)
    • Manage and troubleshoot environments across public cloud platforms (primarily AWS, with some Azure and on-prem setups)
    • Implement and maintain robust configuration management and service discovery solutions
    • Monitoring,

    Observability & Reliability:

    • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or ELK
    • Participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response, and conduct postmortems and root cause analyses
    • Continuously optimize resource usage and application performance through profiling, tuning, and scalability planning

    Security & Compliance:

    • Apply OWASP best practices to infrastructure and pipelines
    • Manage secrets and access securely using tools like Vault, SSO integrations, or KMS/Secrets Manager
    • Support audits and implement compliance controls where required

    Collaboration & Mentoring:

    • Work closely with development and QA teams to enable secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant deployments
    • Document best practices and maintain knowledge repositories
    • Mentor junior engineers and foster a collaborative, reliability-focused culture

    Our Tech Stack (You don’t need to know all — but familiarity helps!)

    • Cloud & Infra: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, EKS), some Azure, VMware, bare-metal
    • Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, OpenShift
    • CI/CD & DevOps: Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, GitLab CI, Nexus, JFrog Artifactory
    • IaC & Scripting: Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation, Bash, Python, Groovy
    • Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Fluent Bit, ELK, CloudWatch
    • Build & Runtime: Java (Spring), Oracle WebLogic, Oracle DB, Tomcat, Node.js, Angular
    • Security & Access: Vault, RBAC, TLS, OAuth2/SAML integrations, OWASP Top 10

    What you bring to the table:

    • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field, or equivalent experience
    • 3–6 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering
    • Strong understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and containerization
    • Hands-on experience with Java application stacks and build systems
    • Comfort working across hybrid environments: public cloud, on-premise, and virtualized infrastructure
    • Excellent debugging and root cause analysis skills
    • Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset
    • Fluent in English (written & spoken)

    Additional Tools & Relevant Experience (Nice to Have):

    • While not required, experience with any of the following would be a plus:
    • JFrog Artifactory: Administration, lifecycle management
    • Performance testing tools: JMeter, Gatling, or Locust
    • Frontend pipeline exposure: Angular, Node.js, npm
    • Azure DevOps: CI/CD or pipeline experience in mixed environments
    • Security audits: Experience supporting regulatory compliance efforts (e.g., GDPR, ISO)
