Job Description
We’re launching a brand-new Business Performance function to support the ECS UK Analytics team—and we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Data Analyst to help lead the way for a 12 month maternity cover role. You’ll take ownership of complex analytical tasks, mentor junior team members, and work with stakeholders to ensure our data solutions are aligned with our goals and bring measurable impact. You will report into the Analytics Manager.
What you will do:
Lead the design and execution of analytical tasks ensuring they meet business need
Identify areas for efficiency gains through well designed data layers and data sets and automation opportunities
Provide guidance to the junior and mid-level analysts
Engage with partners to gain deep understanding of business context and ensure alignment with business goals
Design complex Tableau dashboards, ensuring they meet business needs
Gather and prepare data for dashboard development
Ensure high level of accuracy and high-quality delivery of dashboards to agreed timelines
Conduct in-depth analysis of business performance
Use regression techniques to identify main reasons for performance to explain variations
Co-ordinate with the wider analytics and data teams on best practices
Qualifications
Qualifications
4+ years experience in data analytics role
Expert level SQL skills
Advanced proficiency in Tableau and data visualisation
Advanced data analysis skills
Advanced data preparation and interrogation techniques
Expertise in regression analysis or other business performance explainers
Experience using Python
Excellent ability to communicate complex data to a variety of audiences
Mentoring capabilities
