    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
    • Expertise in SQL Server database administration and T-SQL development
    • Proven experience with query performance tuning and troubleshooting database-related issues to enhance system efficiency
    • Competency in query optimization, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
    • Ability to analyze and optimize complex stored procedures
    • Background in implementing and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and complex SQL queries
    • Knowledge of database design principles
    • Ability to collaborate with software development teams to integrate database solutions into applications
    • Ready to work with overlap during US EST/Colombia working hours

     

    Nice to Have

    • Familiarity with Angular, TypeScript, .NET, and Entity Framework
    • Experience with ETL processes
    • Exposure to general software development practices and web application architecture

     

    English level

    Intermediate+

     

    Responsibilities 

    • Migrate systems from SQL Server 2012 to SQL Server 2019
    • Re-write and optimize stored procedures to improve performance, including replacing cursor-based loops
    • Perform query performance tuning and troubleshoot database-related issues to ensure optimal system efficiency
    • Design, implement, and maintain stored procedures, triggers, and complex SQL queries in SQL Server
    • Collaborate with software development teams to integrate robust and scalable database solutions into applications
    • Participate in system analysis and suggest improvements related to database architecture, scalability, and reliability
    • Contribute to design and code reviews, ensuring high standards of quality and maintainability in SQL and backend components
    • Create and maintain technical documentation for database structures, stored procedures, and performance strategies
