About the Client
Our client is a global management consulting firm based in New York, with 60+ offices worldwide. Their 4,500+ professionals deliver strategic solutions for major players in the retail sector.
What You’ll Do
Enhancing the functionality of the current data platform built on Azure (SQL Server). Typical tasks include adding new client data, running them through the existing architecture, and final acceptance by product owners
Developing features and rewriting legacy solutions
Handling data quality incidents (as the main point of communication between clients and the customer)
Managing the release process: using Jenkins for changes (writing in Groovy), fixing bugs or adding new features
Utilizing Airflow as an ETL tool, adding new DAGs, and editing existing ones
Developing dashboards for monitoring system quality, enabling proactive response to system issues
Working with Azure cloud (extracting passwords from the key vault, making configuration changes to systems)
What You Bring
4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
Proficiency in Python, Powershell, SQL, and Groovy
Competency in Jenkins, Azure, and Microsoft Azure SQL Database
Proven track record working with ETL tools such as Airflow
Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and other collaboration tools
Strong engineering process and hygiene skills e.g. source control, coding standards, code reviews
Comfortable working in an agile team (Scrum)
English level
