Junior DevOps Engineer

Summary

We’re looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer with strong fundamentals, curiosity, and a bias for action. You’ll be joining a high-standards engineering culture where reliability, security, and speed of delivery matter. Your work directly impacts merchants operating in high-risk verticals – meaning uptime, robustness, and predictable deployments aren’t negotiable.

Role Focus

Support our infrastructure and deployment tooling, automate repetitive tasks, improve reliability, and ensure environments are consistent across development, staging, and production. You don’t need years of experience – you need solid basics, discipline, and the ability to learn fast.

Core Requirements

Must-Have Technical Skills

• Solid Linux fundamentals
• Comfortable with the command line
  
• Scripting basics (Bash or Python preferred)
• Basic Ansible knowledge (playbooks, inventory, roles)
• Understanding of IP/TCP networking principles

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
• Windows Server & Active Directory basics
• Familiarity with firewalls and routers
  
• Experience with Docker containers
  

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing and improving CI/CD pipelines
• Maintaining configuration management (Ansible)
• Supporting developers with environment issues
• Helping automate deployment and provisioning
• Monitoring system performance and reacting to alerts
• Participating in on-call rotations (later, once ready)
• Documenting processes and contributing to internal standards
