Job Description
Applications management involves overseeing the lifecycle of software applications, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver value effectively.
Responsibilities:
Architect, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines and infrastructure
Collaborate with development teams to improve CI/CD processes
Manage and optimize cloud-based environments in AWS
Utilize Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate deployments
Orchestrating and managing containerized applications using Kubernetes
Administer and maintain GitLab repositories and CI/CD pipelines
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues
Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
Documents existing processes
Applies good communication skills with team and client interaction.
Qualifications
Solid, hands-on experience building and managing AWS infrastructure
Experience with infrastructure-as-code through tools like Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
In-depth knowledge of GitLab, Github, Azure DevOps, Teamcity or similar for version control and CI/CD
Excellent scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or similar)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Applied experience as lead, mentor and/ or coach would be a pluse.
