Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze real-time alerts and events generated by the SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) system to identify potential security threats or breaches
Ensure uninterrupted 24/7 coverage in collaboration with team members across all shifts
Investigate alerts and anomalies to determine the nature and scope of potential security incidents
Follow standardized procedures and playbooks to ensure consistent handling of incidents
Correlate data from various sources to identify false positives and true security threats
Respond to security incidents following established playbooks, escalating issues as necessary to appropriate internal teams or stakeholders
Engage employees and other stakeholders to verify and address potential security events based on predefined protocols
Communicate effectively with non-technical staff when investigating potential incidents
Create detailed reports of incidents, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement
Identify opportunities for improving monitoring processes or expanding visibility into potential threats
Requirements
Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., InsightIDR)
Experience with XDR platforms (e.g., Eset XDR)
Experience with TI platforms
Experience with DLP platforms
Experience with Mail Security platforms
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Familiarity with incident response frameworks and methodologies
Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP) are a plus
