About the Role

The Integration Manager leads the Payment Service Providers’ integration projects which involves process coordination between developers, Partners, and business stakeholders, integration quality assurance and testing, and overall ownership of the delivery pipeline.

The responsibilities of the Integration Manager consist of supervising existing and ongoing integrations with payment service providers (PSPs), providing technical support, and escalation path thereby establishing meaningful, strategic, and successful business relationships. This role requires an analytical mind and the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Handle our incident response and post-incident investigation processes
• Maintain high-quality standards for code, infrastructure, and documentation
• Have an impact on designing, developing, and delivering new features for our products

Requirements

• Understanding of programming languages but not strictly required like javascript, json, PHP
• Knowledge of API integration, RESTful APIs, web services, and API documentation
• Familiarity with payment gateways, processors, and protocols such as PayPal, Stripe, Visa, Mastercard, etc.
• Understanding of encryption, security, and compliance standards (PCI DSS, GDPR)

Payment Industry Knowledge

• In-depth understanding of various payment methods (credit cards, e-wallets, bank transfers, cryptocurrencies) and their mechanics
• Knowledge of payment processing flow, including authorization, settlement, chargebacks, refunds, etc.
• Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with payment regulations and compliance standards in different regions (PCI DSS, GDPR, PSD2)
• Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee integration projects, coordinate with various teams, set timelines, and manage resources effectively
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, identify bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions
• Adaptability: The payment landscape is constantly evolving. A Payment Integration Manager should stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and new payment methods
• Team Player: Collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, business analysts, and external vendors
• Leadership Abilities: In some cases, the role might involve leading a team of integration specialists or coordinating with external vendors
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze payment data, trends, and metrics to optimize payment processes and user experiences
• Vendor Management: Experience in evaluating, selecting, and managing payment service providers, gateways, and other vendors
