    Tech Stack / Requirements

EGT Digital is a next-generation tech company focused on all online gaming products, and its portfolio includes Casino Games, Sportsbook, and the all-in-one solution – a Gambling Platform.

EGT Digital is a part of the Euro Games Technology (EGT) Group, headquartered in Sofia, Bulgaria. EGT Group is one of the fastest-growing enterprises in the gaming industry. Our global network includes offices in 25 countries and our products are installed in over 85 jurisdictions in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North, Central, and South America.

Being a part of such a fast-moving industry as iGaming, the company knows no limits and is growing rapidly through its dedication to innovation and constant improvement. This is why we are expanding our Platform&Payments Department team and now looking for fresh and enthusiastic people to come and join us in the exciting digital world of iGaming.

As a Data Architect at EGT Digital, you will be the cornerstone of our data infrastructure strategy, responsible for designing, refactoring, and governing the architecture that powers our data-driven iGaming platform. You will lead the evolution of our data ecosystem—from storage and pipelines to real-time processing and analytics—ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business goals. Your expertise will drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies while optimizing costs and compliance in a high-volume, data-intensive environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Define and implement the long-term data architecture vision, including technology stack evaluation (on-premise, cloud, hybrid) and modernization of legacy systems
    • Design scalable, fault-tolerant data models and schemas to support analytical and operational workloads across the organization
    • Lead the selection and integration of new technologies (e.g., data lakes, streaming platforms, MLOps tools) to enhance performance and reduce technical debt
    • Establish data governance frameworks and standards for security, privacy, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, MGA)
    • Architect high-performance data pipelines (batch/streaming) using Kafka, Apache Flink, or similar tools, ensuring low-latency processing for real-time analytics
    • Optimize RDBMS (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL solutions for query performance, storage efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
    • Collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to design feature stores and data models for machine learning workflows
    • Conduct capacity planning and cost-benefit analyses for on-premise vs. cloud infrastructure (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, GCP)
    • Partner with DevOps and Engineering teams to design infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions for data deployment and monitoring
    • Mentor Data Engineers and Analysts on best practices for data modeling, ETL/ELT, and observability
    • Document architectures, decisions, and trade-offs to ensure knowledge sharing and alignment with stakeholders

    Requirements

    • 7+ years in Data Engineering, Architecture, or similar roles, with a proven track record in designing large-scale data systems for high-volume environments (e.g., iGaming, finance, e-commerce)
    • Expertise in SQL (advanced query optimization, partitioning) and Python (or Java/Scala for pipeline development)
    • Deep hands-on experience with: Data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and lakehouse architecture (Delta Lake, Iceberg)
    • Streaming technologies (Kafka, Pulsar) and real-time analytics (Flink, Spark Streaming)
    • Infrastructure design (Kubernetes, Terraform) and performance tuning for distributed systems
    • Strong knowledge of MLOps practices (feature stores, model deployment pipelines) and collaboration with Data Science teams
    • Familiarity with iGaming-specific data challenges (e.g., player behavior analytics, fraud detection, high-velocity transaction data)
    • Ability to influence technical strategy and drive buy-in from executives and teams
    • Aptitude for balancing innovation with pragmatism in a fast-paced industry
    • Clear articulation of complex architectures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
