Responsibilities:

• Create and perform tests, identify errors, and provide feedback to verify that the sounds in the game are functioning as expected
• Ensure users enjoy a seamless, error-free experience while playing the games
• Test all audio in the games thoroughly, writing test cases and bug reports
• Interact with Music Composers/Sound Designers, Project Owners, Development team, Game Designers and QA team as per need
• Verify bug fixes
• Capture media
• Compare and find differences between audio and/or video references
• Ensure the correct assets are delivered from sound department to the developers
• Use in-game implementation systems
• Early testing to eliminate defects at an early stage reduces the bug fixing cost and time
• Executing tests with appropriate techniques (manually or by using test execution tools) and documenting testing failures
• Conduct different test procedures, report issues, and follow up on the status of the issues.

Requirements

• Ability to hear problems related to music and sound effects
• A keen eye/ear for detail
• A background in audio engineering, music mixing, music technology as well as sound design is beneficial
• Communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Database management
• The ability to consistently identify mistakes across thousands of inspections
• The ability to closely follow quality standards
• Decision-making skills
• A love of and curiosity for sound
• The ability to research and pitch your ideas to senior colleagues
• An understanding of how sound works alongside other elements, moving image, or an interactive virtual world
• Good time-management and organizational skills for meeting delivery specifications and deadlines
