About the role:

The role sits in the Data & Analytics Platforms and Solutions team, whose mission is to maximize the value creation from our data. The role reports to Data & Analytics Platforms and Solutions Director and sits together with other teams like Advanced Analytics and AI, Data Infrastructure and Processing team, Data Delivery and Data Governance and Regulatory Compliance.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect to lead and orchestrate the future development of our data platforms. This role is pivotal in strengthening our data foundations and enhancing our data-driven decision-making.

As DSK Senior Data Architect, your responsibilities will involve designing and creating secure, scalable, robust and reliable data platforms and products. You will be designing and optimizing solutions based on insights from the business units and in collaboration with teams like Infrastructure, Cloud, Information Security and others.

Within Data & Analytics Platforms and Solutions team you will be working closely with talented Data Engineers, DevOps engineers and Developers to deliver data and analytics tools and solutions. You will be encouraged and supported in constantly exploring new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement high-level data architecture that integrates on-premise databases (Oracle) with cloud platforms (Azure), ensuring systems security and data flow optimization
• Collaborate with Business units, Advanced Analytics and AI, Data Infrastructure and Processing, Data Delivery, Data Management and Regulatory Compliance and Cloud teams to align data architecture with business objectives
• Design and lead implementation of unified DSK data model and migration to hybrid data architecture
• Technical leadership on developing and maintaining scalable and reliable data solutions that support regulatory and operational reporting, data analysis, self-service reporting from business users, data mining and advanced analytics use cases
• Ensure compliance with information security and data protection standards.
• Lead the adoption of new technologies and practices in data architecture
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
• Optimize data flow and collection for cross-functional teams and collaborate with other technical teams on integration between data platforms and other systems and applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in data architecture, preferably in the banking or financial sector
• Strong knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems, ETL and OLAP principles and products like Oracle, ODI, Oracle Business Intelligence
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms – Azure, Databricks
• Experience with corporate-wide reporting solutions (PowerBI)
• Knowledge of streaming platforms (Kafka) and open-source tools for data management and orchestration
• Familiarity with machine learning methodologies and their integration into data architecture
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
