    Operational Risk (Chief) Expert

     

    The position is part of DSK Group second line of defense (2LoD). It is within the Operational Risk Management Department and belongs to the Non-financial Risk Management Directorate of Risk Management Division HO, Sofia, DSK Bank, under the responsibility of the Chief Risk Officer.

    Your tasks in the team:

    • Develop and maintain core analytics and reports related to operational risk exposure as well as related losses and issues;
    • Monitor the operational risk exposure by performing different types of risk analyses;
    • Identify high risk areas and propose implementation of risk mitigating measures and control mechanisms;
    • Consolidate and prepare presentations for the management of risk analysis results;
    • Participate in the internal capital allocation analysis process and stress testing in the field of operational risk management;
    • Initiate and take part in the improvement of the loss data quality and quantity;
    • Collaborate with business units to identify and implement process improvements and risk mitigants;
    • Maintain, upgrade and improve the applicable Operational risk management framework and procedures;
    • Participate in self-assessment and scenario analysis campaigns, controls testing, key risk indicators development, calculation and analysis, regulatory and management reporting, etc.

     

    You are the ideal candidate, if you have:

    • University Degree.
    • Strong command of English.
    • Ability to develop and automate reporting needs.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), experience with PL SQL/MS SQL and Power BI is an advantage.
    • Critical and combinatorial thinking with focus on details.
    • Experience in understanding business processes and challenge effectiveness of the control environment.
    • Understand the risk environment, monitor evolving risks and trends and propose innovative solutions in the field of non-financial risk management.
    • Capabilities of a pro-active, result oriented, team-player, willing to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
