We are seeking an experienced and strategic Regional Category Manager to lead the procurement activities across Europe for the IT and Professional Services categories. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies, managing supplier relationships, and delivering sustainable value across the region. You will collaborate closely with global and local stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business goals and procurement standards.
A job that matters: Your Tasks
Develop, implement, and manage the European category strategy for IT and Professional Services (e.g. consulting, legal, HR services, training).
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and drive cost savings, value creation, and risk mitigation.
Act as the primary procurement business partner for IT and Professional Services stakeholders in the region.
Negotiate contracts, commercial terms, and SLAs with key suppliers in compliance with global policies.
Analyze category spend and supplier performance; identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
Drive standardization and harmonization of procurement processes and tools across business units.
Collaborate with global category teams to ensure alignment and support global initiatives.
Manage supplier relationships, lead regular performance reviews, and support supplier development.
Monitor market trends and innovations relevant to assigned categories.
An experience that matters: Your Skills
University degree in Business Administration, Procurement, IT, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in strategic procurement/category management, ideally in an international matrix organization.
Strong knowledge of IT and Professional Services procurement categories and sourcing models.
Proven negotiation and contract management skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across cultures and functions.
Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Fluent in English; German language skills would be a plus.
Willingness to travel within Europe as needed.
