IT Security Architect

The IT Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions to protect the dormakaba IT infrastructure and data assets. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of security frameworks, emerging threats, and advanced technologies. The IT Security Architect collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure that security measures align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

A job that matters: Your Tasks

• Develop and maintain the dormakaba IT security architecture and standards.
• Assess existing security measures and identify vulnerabilities, recommending improvements as necessary.
• Design secure network, cloud and system configurations, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulations.
• Lead the implementation of security solutions, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
• Conduct IT risk assessments and security audits, defining KPIs and preparing detailed reports.
• Provide expert guidance on security-related issues during the design and development of IT projects.
• Monitor emerging threats and trends, adapting security strategies proactively.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve security incidents and ensure swift recovery.
• Deliver training and awareness programmes to promote a culture of security within the IT organisation.

An experience that matters: Your Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, TOGAF, CEH) are highly desirable.
• Proven experience (more than 5 years) in IT security architecture, ideally within complex enterprise environments
• Excellent knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), network security, DLP, Zero Trust and cloud security principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
